Service Corps

Service Corps seeks to recruit young people who are keen on serving the underprivileged areas in the Mainland to join. The programme aims to promote youth development and volunteerism. It also seeks to develop the tenacity and potential of Hong Kong young people, and to encourage them to serve others. Youth participants aged between 18 and 35 and who can speak Putonghua and read and write Chinese will be provided with basic living allowance for their stay in the Mainland. Participants will serve in schools in Shaoguan or Meizhou in Guangdong Province to provide six-months to one year of voluntary teaching assistance to local teachers in the daily learning activities of primary and junior secondary students (such as teaching subjects including English, Physical Education, Music, Arts and Computing) and in organising extra-curricular activities.
