Pilot Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas

The Pilot Scheme on Corporate Summer Internship on the Mainland and Overseas (Pilot Scheme) launched by the Government invites major corporations to provide high quality internship opportunities on the Mainland and/or overseas for young people of Hong Kong during the summer break this year. Through the Pilot Scheme, we hope to groom a cadre of young talents with both national awareness and a global vision for Hong Kong. Companies joining the Pilot Scheme will bear major costs pertaining to the internship programmes, including airfare and accommodation, to ensure that deserving young people will not be barred from joining the Pilot Scheme due to financial reasons. The 16 major participating corporations will provide a total of around 250 internship places, distributed in various Mainland provinces and cities (including Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area) and seven overseas countries (including the Belt and Road countries). Internship placements cover multiple industries, such as financial services, property development, architecture and public utilities services (details of the internship places are set out at Annex). Corporates will provide internships in their offices and/or their subsidiary/affiliated companies on the Mainland and overseas countries, and will administer their own recruitment exercises and internship arrangements. Undergraduate students in Year 2 or above with valid Hong Kong Permanent Identity Cards are eligible to apply for the internship placements, which will take place from May to August 2018 for no less than six weeks.

Details about the concerned internship placements can be found here.
